Under the business name Eagle Eye Pictures, Cary Anderson works as a photographer, writer, producer and researcher covering news and features for many of the world's foremost media organizations. Anderson's print media credits include National Geographic, Newsweek, Associated Press, The New York Times, The Mail on Sunday, Astronomy, Popular Photography, Reader's Digest, Time-Life, Wildlife Conservation, Alaska Geographic, Aviation Week & Space Technology, Alaska Magazine, Outdoor Photographer and other publications. His photography also has been featured in numerous books, calendars and postcards.

RADIO & TV BROADCASTING
As owner of Multimedia Correspondent Services, (MCS,) Anderson has written, produced and narrated well over a thousand national reports for CBS News, Radio during the past twenty-four years and he continues to work as a correspondent for the radio network on a freelance basis. He has also written or produced stories for other American networks including ABC, NBC, Mutual, Associated Press, United Press International and Unistar. Many of his reports of world interest have been broadcast overseas via IRN to Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Africa. Additionally, many of his interviews on a wide range of topics have aired throughout western Europe via Voice of America.

Cary Anderson was a broadcaster in Port Angeles, Washington (KONP & KAPY) before moving to the capitol, Olympia, where he worked for KQEU and the Associated Press. He later served as news director at KOSO, Modesto (California) before moving to Alaska where he worked as a reporter and morning anchor for KBYR & KTVA. While in Alaska, he began to focus exclusively on news and features of national interest.

In recent years, he was narrator for the TV series "Inside Passage" and continues to lend his voice to natural history documentaries. He is currently working on film projects to document the lives of bald eagles and the people involved with them.

 

TOP STORIES
Cary Anderson's coverage of national news in Alaska has ranged from grizzly bear attacks and whale rescues to long running controversies including aerial wolf control and oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Some of his most in depth coverage has focused on the 1989 Exxon Valdez Oil Spill and its lingering effects on Prince William Sound and its people. Among his favorite stories is the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, an event he has covered for CBS for 24 years.
